Who am I?

I am a mother of four.

I am a wife.

I am a teacher.

I am a runner.

I am a photographer.

I feel like images can be very powerful.  Whether you have an image of a fragile newborn or of a stoic mountain range, an image can set into motion words, thoughts, deeds, and emotions.  As a photographer I feel like I'm one of a million different people all over the world trying to document our existence here.  There are so many experiences, events, and happenings each day and we'll capture just a moment here and there.  I guess it's sad that we might miss so much, but it's also joyous that what we'll end up capturing are the best moments.  And we'll keep on capturing those moments so we can remember and learn and love and relive.  I look forward to clicking on my camera each day and marking down something that happened.  I look forward to helping people freeze time for a moment and enjoy a time when they gathered their loves ones and smiled together.  I look forward to helping to spread the news as a newborn enters the world.  I look forward to allowing a proud mother show off her children.  I look forward to pressing click as soon as I see genuine emotion emerge.  I look forward always to producing another photograph to be added to the millions of others that are created each day that tell our stories and proclaim, "We were here."
